Our Financial Journey
From a small East Bendigo startup to Australia's trusted seasonal financial planning partner – discover the milestones that shaped our commitment to your financial success
The Foundation Years
What started as weekend conversations between three financial advisors in East Bendigo became something much bigger. We noticed our clients struggled most during seasonal transitions – holiday spending, back-to-school expenses, tax season stress. Traditional financial planning wasn't addressing these predictable yet challenging periods.
Our founder, Darius Kellerman, had been tracking seasonal spending patterns for over a decade. Together with partners Reuben Blackwood and Thatcher Whitmore, we launched nimbriovalo from a shared office space on Lansell Street with one simple mission: make financial planning work with life's natural rhythms, not against them.
Digital Transformation
The pandemic taught us something crucial – financial stress doesn't wait for office hours. We invested heavily in digital tools that could provide 24/7 support during those late-night worry sessions about money. Our seasonal planning calculator became our most popular feature almost overnight.
This wasn't just about going online though. We spent months interviewing clients about their actual financial behaviors, not what they thought they should be doing. The insights were eye-opening – most people needed permission to spend on experiences, not lectures about saving more.
Community Impact
Last year marked a turning point in how we think about financial planning. Instead of focusing solely on individual success, we started measuring community-wide financial wellness. Our East Bendigo pilot program showed that when neighborhoods plan seasonally together, everyone benefits from shared resources and bulk purchasing power.
We also launched our mentorship program, pairing experienced seasonal planners with newcomers. The results exceeded our expectations – mentees reported feeling more confident about financial decisions within six weeks, while mentors found renewed purpose in their own financial journeys.
